The first and foremost edition of these ever popular studies, which are to be found in almost every syllabus where the guitar is taught. This new expanded and revised edition is the only publication to reconcile the early sources of these Etudes with present day playing techniques. Several earlier editions from the 19th and 20th centuries have been carefully consulted for its preparation. The main music text is beautifully engraved with a clear and uncluttered presentation of the Etudes. This edition contains a useful section on playing the Etudes with over 50 music examples, showing alternative fingerings etc. A detailed Critical Commentary as well as historical archive material completes this important vastly improved version of our highly popular 1985 edition.
